Mr. Nicholson's involvement in archaeology dates back to 1994. He has participated in nearly every aspect of Cultural Resource Management, directing field, lab, and wet-screening operations, and authoring numerous reports.  At California State University, Sacramento he designed a specialized GPS data collection technique for archaeological surveys, with the express purpose of improving efficiency in managing archaeological resources in GIS and importing compiled GIS data into archaeological reports and site records.  His thesis prospectus used GIS to measure morphological variability of artifact types against the environmental variability of specific locales in the western Great Basin.  He has done GIS work in a professional capacity for the Archaeological Research Center, Far Western Anthropological Research Group, and Pacific Legacy, Inc. Most recently, he served as the primary GIS data manager/analyst for Pacific Legacy’s Cameron Park office.   Mr. Nicholson has also directed the management of graphic production using GIS data and is very proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. In 2011 Mr. Nicholson founded Janus - GIS and Graphics.

With a commitment to quality, accuracy, and transparency, Mr. Nicholson firmly believes in maintaining the integrity of the digital information he provides to his clients.
